Updating Dokuwiki required me to change the settings of the data folder. The only way I could manage was to make sure that there was a group policy to allow writes and THEN change the group recursively. Changing the group first locked out ''%%chmod%%'' changes, and trying to ''%%chown%%'' to the web user failed through both ssh as well as running directly as the web user.
